LRSI

  • For the GMC residence LRSI worked to create inviting outdoor spaces next to the entrances and exits of the house, as well as blend the house into the surrounding native landscape. Native plants were used for that purpose.
  • Linda's close working relationship with the Architect Connie Giles allows LRSI to co-design outdoor spaces, blending the architecture with the landscape.
  • "I have worked with Linda Robinson on four residential projects since 2002. My choice to work with her is based upon what she consistently brings to each project: - A focus on the clients’ priorities - uses, aesthetics and maintenance. - Respect for the existing context. - A collaborative approach to design - and the ability to plan landscape improvements that are fully integral with the architecture. - The discipline to edit design ideas in order to produce something that is visually simple and strong, and — - Expertise in local native landscape materials - including not only a plant’s appearance, but also its requirements for sun / shade / water, and its suitability for the particular conditions found in mountain environments. While many Landscape Architects are capable of softening the hard edges of architecture and designing pleasant gardens, Linda’s work succeeds at another level. I look forward to continuing our professional relationship primarily because I have seen how it benefits our clients. When the project is completed, they have a home that fits into its surroundings and outdoor spaces that works well for them." - Architect, Connie Giles
